"Last year in June (2024) celebrated a week's vacation at this wonderful place. The hosts are both Dutch and totally pamper the guests. Even a car is available, of course for a reasonable fee. The apartment itself is a kind of basement but is not below ground level. The house itself is built against a hill and consists of a guesthouse, which is situated in the lower part of the house and a dwelling in the upper part of the house where the owners themselves live. The house is located on the outskirts of a small village. The view from the terrace on the valley is beautiful. Those who love peace and quiet are really in the right place here but also Porto is only about 25 minutes away. In the nearby village is a cafe / restaurant where simple but good food can be eaten. In Osella, 8 km away, there are several good restaurants. Supermarkets are also located in Osella. In the apartment there are all facilities for self-catering. During my stay, the host and hostess provided a well-stocked refrigerator and enough bread to enjoy breakfast in the morning. The area around the apartment is great for hiking and there is a clear river nearby that provides cooling if desired. The nights are dark and quiet and the beds sleep wonderfully. When the weather is open, which is quite often, the firmament at night is truly breathtaking. In summary, a stay in this beautiful home is definitely worth it."

"We stayed two consecutive years for 8 days, at the turn of the year, with Patty and Jo in Ossela. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and fully equipped. The view is breathtaking and the surroundings are beautiful. Ossela is very central to make beautiful trips. For example, to visit the coast or discover the city of Porto. The owners Jo and Patty are very hospitable people and do everything to make you feel at ease."

"Dear Jo and Patty, Our feelings and memories of that week go far beyond what words can express. We still often think back with warm hearts of that wonderful time with you! A warm blanket of home feeling In October 2023 we spent a fantastic week with Jo and Patty in Ossela, Portugal. From the first moment we felt embraced by their warmth and hospitality - like a soft blanket of home feeling in a place far from home. The cottage exudes charm and authenticity in the midst of beautiful nature. We enjoyed the tranquility, the coziness and the love with which everything was taken care of. Whether it was a relaxing breakfast in the morning sun, a nice walk in the area or just a good conversation over a glass of wine - everything felt perfect and familiar. This is a place where you not only unwind, but where you also find a piece of home. We look back with many fond memories and certainly hope to return again!"

"I had the opportunity to stay there twice in the beautiful Ossela, Mr. Lenssen's home and enjoyed the ground floor apartment, the terrace and also the garden with exotic plant shrubs. They also have a car for rent if you want to explore the area and Porto is about a 30 minute drive away. Ossela also has a nice pub/restaurant where we had a great meal for 'a bargain."
